Mesquite business owner Robert Lamb is showing his support for local veterans and military families by sponsoring the VFW Elwood Perkins Post 8336 website through his businesses, Chubby’s Italian Ice and Super Box Central. The partnership brings together community service, refreshing old-school Italian ice, and convenient home-entertainment options while helping the Post continue its work throughout Moapa Valley.
Moapa Valley’s spirit of community and service was on full display as local cross country athletes, coaches, families, volunteers, and supporters came together for a day of competition and camaraderie. VFW Elwood Perkins Post 8336 joined the effort by serving breakfast burritos and Gatorade, continuing the Post’s commitment to supporting local youth and the Moapa Valley community.
From the battlefields of World War I to the VFW State Convention in Nevada, the Buddy Poppy has remained a powerful symbol of sacrifice, remembrance, and service. This year, VFW Elwood Perkins Memorial Post 8336 proudly continued that tradition with a handcrafted Buddy Poppy display created by Post member Garren Fulmer, honoring those who served while showcasing the creativity and dedication of our Post.
